Soaring to Strength

Renewal isn’t rest—it’s alignment.

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” Isaiah 40:31

The Andean condor—among the world’s largest birds—can fly for hours and travel a hundred miles without flapping its wings. Once aloft, it rides invisible air currents that bear its full weight.

Isaiah used a similar image to describe what it means to draw strength from God. It isn’t the eagle’s own power that keeps it in flight—it’s the wind beneath it. Likewise, the strength that sustains us—in trading, in leadership, and in life—is not drawn from relentless effort but from alignment with something greater than ourselves.

Waiting is not weakness. There are seasons to push and seasons to pause. The mature trader, the wise leader, learns to rest in the unseen rhythm of renewal. When our pace matches God’s purpose, we discover that strength is not about endurance alone—it’s about trust.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,” saith the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6
